It can be called "Wit" or "White" but not "Whit". It's origins are Belgium where they refer to it as witbier which means "white beer". Here it is perfectly acceptable to call it either way but I prefer wit... I just sounds fancier :)
Yep, not a beer drinker so I didn't know how to spell it...I meant wit.I would change it on the post but I was under Dan's account so only he can change it...
